Parents
frequently inquire about the possibility of
attending
workshops within the state of Florida.
To
apply for a "scholarship for learning" please
complete and send in the
application.
We are all living
in a very busy society. Many parents work outside of the home, help their
children with homework, are involved in community activities, have special
therapy schedules and still try to run an efficient household. All of us
as parents can be part of our children’s education in many different capacities.
Here are some suggestions
of ways that we can stay involved in our children’s life and perform the role of
an advisor or an advocate:
- Join the
SAC (School Advisory Committee)
- Be a Scout leader
- Be a school volunteer
- Attend a focus group
- Complete a survey
- Attend a conference
- Be a member of a task force
- Participate in a needs assessment
- Be a member of the ESE advisory
board
- Mentor another family
- Be a coach
- Join a committee
- Support the classroom TEACHER!!
